The Seas Your Future Network (SYF Net) is a community of people and organisations with an interest in marine systems and sustainable interactions with the ocean. The purpose of our network is aligned with the mission of Seas Your Future: to support personal development and enhance the career prospects of young people and contribute to ocean science. We are a group within the non-profit charity Seas Your Future.
The SYF Net is open to professional mariners, tall ship volunteers, mentors, sail trainees, merchant navy and sea cadets over 16 years of age, scientists, designers and educators, as well as representatives of youth organisations, conservation organisations and maritime industries. We are diverse and inclusive, respectful, supportive and mindful of safeguarding members who are younger than 18 years of age. Members undertake to abide by the Code of Conduct in all interactions and communication within the SYF Net, may it be online or in person.
Activities will be aligned with achieving the aims of the charity’s STEM programme and the sustainable development aims of the UN Ocean Decade:
All members of the SYF Net must abide by our Code of Conduct in communications and contact associated with the Network’s activities:
