At Seas Your Future (SYF), we are reviewing and improving what we do in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), while taking account of the changing business environment, in which the charity is positioned.
Seas Your Future evaluates, prioritises and mitigates sustainability risks. Making all elements of the charity more sustainable is a process that requires continuous review. We seek to learn from best practice and be transparent through sharing our actions and outcomes to promote debate.

Sail training on our tall ships Pelican of London and Fridtjof Nansen is keeping alive maritime heritage and traditions.
SYF works towards UN SDGs through three main initiatives:
1. Improving the sustainable operation of the charity and its ships,
2. Education, citizen science and scientific research,
3. Outreach and ocean awareness.
Our Sail Training and Ocean Science programmes promote personal development through improving confidence and mental health and enhance professional opportunities for young people through gaining experience in the Maritime sector and developing knowledge and transferrable skills that are sought after in multiple career paths.
