Plastic Pollution along the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica - Hannah Gibbs

Hannah Gibbs was one of our recent Scientists in Residence aboard the Pelican of London. During her voyage in Costa Rica, conducted in January 2022, she studied the plastic pollution along the Pacific coast of Costa Rica.

She is a University of Southampton student, currently studying Marine Biology and believes that, 'plastics are becoming an ocean menace, entangling organisms and building up in the food chain' which inspired her to conduct her research.

In her spare time Hannah manages an instagram account known as Marine Biology Posts with an over 60k following!!
