This academic year Seas Your Future (SYF) has been chosen to be the Charity focus for Higher Degree Apprentices at Kent Business School, within the University of Kent. SYF has been given a platform to present, give workshops to students and be involved with conferences to enable apprentices to be active members of society. This means that students are encouraged to become ambassadors for SYF, spreading awareness and helping to generate funds for the charity, through fundraising events such as charity balls.
On Friday the 3rd of November Min, our Marketing and Communications Coordinator, and two of our Trustees, Simon and Tilly, led a workshop at Kent Business School's London HQ. The workshop was run for Higher Degree Apprentices from organisations such as L’Oreal and Cadbury, to give the students an understanding of charity fundraising, developing new ideas for fundraising at SYF, and to raise awareness of our charity.
The workshop is just the introduction of SYF to apprentices and it was super successful! SYF’s Marketing and Communications Coordinator said: “It was fantastic to see such enthusiasm, interest, and engagement from the apprentices.”
We look forward to seeing this collaboration develop and working with the apprentices and Kent Business School for the rest of the academic year.
