Tall ship arrives in Dartmouth tomorrow

Tall ship The Pelican of London arrives in Dartmouth tomorrow for a couple of days crewed by students from Ocean College.

A tall ship will be arriving in Dartmouth tomorrow and staying for a few days.

The Pelican of London will be arriving in Dartmouth around 2pm and staying until Monday.

The Pelican of London is owned by charity Seas Your Future, providing sailing experience with an alternative form of learning for all young people, encouraging equality, inclusiveness, and passion, through adventure and challenge.

The Ship is currently towards the end of a six-month transatlantic voyage with students from German company Ocean College. For six months of the year Ocean College turns the Pelican of London into a traveling classroom for high school students and gap years.

The Pelican will enter the harbour/river with the yards manned, which will be a spectacular sight to see, and the students are planned to be sing some traditional sea shanties on arrival and during their time in Dartmouth.

They are welcoming people to come to welcome her in by giving her a wave.
